The first thing you need to do is to register a domain in order to associate it with your own website (use cdmon's finder to see if the domain name you want is free). Once you have registered the domain, you have to get Hosting, services that allow you to have an email and web space. Depending on your needs, you can get a more simple or more professional Hosting. Yes, of course! Domain and Hosting are related but separate products. We recommend that you first buy the domain you want, even if you have no intention of having a website with this domain. If you buy the domain name, you will ensure that no one can take it away from you. Later you can obtain the Hosting that you need and associate it with your domain.

A Hosting includes a series of services associated to a domain: disk space, FTP accounts, monthly data transfer, email accounts, password-protected folders, backup, Control Panel, web statistics, etc. And most importantly, with cdmon you will receive the free advice and support of our technical team. The payment frequency will depend on the type of Hosting. You can contract the Start and Junior Hostings quarterly, biannually and annually. From the Senior Hosting and up, you can contract the monthly, quarterly, biannually and annually.

It all depends on your needs and expectations. For example:

• If you expect your site will receive a high number of visits, you should get a Hosting with enough monthly data transfer, or expand it as you need it.
• If you want to create a photo gallery, you will need more disk space.
• If your website is for an association, you will have to get more email accounts to be able to distribute them amongst the members.

The automatic backup is a daily incremental backup of web files and databases made in the early hours of the morning. It has a 15 day-history for shared plans and 10 days for Virtual and Dedicated servers (after 8:00 hours is considered the current day).

They are only applicable to new Hostings when buying one year. It can be accumulated with the 20% when buying 1 year. The fraudulent use of any promotion or reducing the Hosting type to extend the expiration date is forbidden. If our agents find that there has been malpractice, our agents with restore the promotion to the default values.
